Track Record

Bridgewater Tidal Barrage for UK Environment Agency/Atkins Ltd A suite of surveys in the Parrett Estuary, Bridgwater, Somerset, UK were carried for the Environment Agency and were carried out between 2020 and 2022 to provide data sets to understand the local sediment regime in support of a tidal barrier project. Detailed sedimentological and hydrodynamical surveys comprised: - 4 water based through-tide surveys measuring sediment and hydrodynamics through the water column - 3 bank surveys measuring sediment properties, erodibility and morphological features The unique and comprehensive data set collected allowed a full appreciation of the sediment dynamics at the site over a wide range of hydrodynamic and fluvial conditions and are being used for design and adaptive management. Customer Statement: 'Enviromud undertook some excellent sediment surveys in the challenging Parrett Estuary and produced data and understanding that exceeded our expectations'
New Manila International Airport for San Miguel Aerocity Inc. Enviromud is providing expert measurement and consultancy services in support of an ongoing airport construction project in Manila, Philippines. Enviromud have provided a range of services since 2022 including a number of sediment surveys, on-site training and supervision of survey logistics, methods, instrumentation and techniques. Expert consultancy is ongoing providing insight into understanding natural successful intertidal mudflat critical habitat bird feeding grounds and providing recommendations for design and location of potential mudflat-creation offset sites. The project is a complex one, and Enviromud is part of a global team of biodiversity, sedimentology, marine biology, bird ecology and habitat creation experts combining to make the project a success.
Wellington Drains Siltation Project for Aquatec Ltd A detailed calibration of sediments at two silted land drains in Somerset, UK were carried out to support a project of drain clearance and envronmental monitoring. Bank samples were taken and analysed in the laboratory to provide calibrations of TSS (Total Suspended Solids) NTU (optical turbidity) using Aquatec's 'AQUALogger 310' series turbidity sensor. Customer Statement:'The sensor calibration and training that Enviromud supplied more than met our requirements - an excellent job'
Characterisation of Wareham Channel Sediments for UK Environment Agency/Kier Ltd A sediment sampling survey was conducted in the outer Wareham Channel and Poole Harbour. Sediment samples were taken and analysed in our laboratory for Particle Size Distribution, Density cores and detailed in-situ and microscope observations. The data was used to characterise channel sediments and sediment transport patterns. This work was undertaken to support the Arne Moors Coastal Change Project to create more wetland habitats and bird feeding grounds.
Cowes Sediment Flux Monitoring for Cowes Harbour Commissioners Annual sediment flux monitoring, turbidity sensor maintenance and calibration was carried out at Cowes harbour between 2019 and 2022 in the Isle of Wight, UK. The data was used to establish annual sediment transport patterns and to provide underpinning data for ongoing harbour dredging management decisions.
